Vanessa Stark made her way into this world during a Canadian west coast, mid-winter snowstorm. Sixteen years later Vanessa followed her love of the mountains and passion for riding them to find her home in Whistler BC. Drawing has always been a part of who I am. It has been a safe place I can go. I would not be a whole person without it.
Coming from a creative and artistic family, drawing and other forms of art were always a very natural inclination for Nes. Her first art show appearance was at age eight. This was following oil painting lessons, a gift from her grandma. Often with a childlike essence and a colourful fantasy ambiance, Nes paintings reveal a bright organic style. Vanessa uses her work to express a love of nature, animals and freedom.
